Benz & Ziegler designed and built the exhibition stand for Europe's leading independent gas and oil company Wintershall Dea at EAGE 2019 in London. The main focus was to showcase the new brand identity.
Within the stand, open and closed rooms complemented each other to form a coherent overall concept. The front part with bar and lounge, accessible via low steps, was designed to be spacious and inviting; the rear offered space for conversations away from the flow of visitors.
The stand design was designed to be flexible; it enabled uncomplicated and quick dismantling and was thus able to travel around the world.

The central design element were two diagonally positioned walls, between which a protected area spanned.
The intelligent, sustainable use of existing resources made the renovation cost and time efficient.
Displays and screens were positioned on the wall surface of the diagonal. The “café-stop” integrated there was regarded as the central link and formed the meeting point for all new employees.

The grandstand for the auditorium was designed to be multi-functional; on the one hand it invited people to linger and interact with each other and on the other hand onlookers were also able to follow the lectures on digitalisation and other topics related to geosciences.
The materials wood and metal were repeatedly used in the stand design - with the wood providing a warm and pleasant atmosphere and the metal reminiscent of the roughness of gas and oil extraction.
